Regeneration is an invitation to bring life back to the places where it has been lost — and to ensure that it continues to thrive. It means giving back more to nature and society than we take from them. It represents a profound shift in how we produce, consume, and relate to the planet. This very spirit is what gave rise to the Network of Regenerators of Valle del Cauca — a movement that brings together more than 100 actors committed to building a Regenerative Valley.
The vision for the Network took shape through the FOLU Roadmap for the Transformation of Food Systems, developed alongside more than 300 actors from diverse sectors, where regeneration emerged as a key opportunity to connect and take action.
The Network is represented by actors from the four subregions of the department — North, Center, South, and Pacific — recognizing their unique contexts and capacities for action, all inspired by shared principles of trust, diversity, and collaboration.
After holding territorial meetings in Buga, Cali, Buenaventura, and Cartago, we came together for the central meeting of the Network of Regenerators of Valle del Cauca, where the visions and action proposals from each subregion were shared and prioritized to drive joint efforts at both the departmental and subregional levels.
This process has strengthened the Network through co-creation and trust, fostering common lines of action:
1️⃣ Regenerative education and awareness
2️⃣ Communication of good practices
3️⃣ Co-creation of local solutions
4️⃣ Organizational and territorial strengthening
5️⃣ Social association and collaboration
6️⃣ Institutional and territorial synergies
